EWOC Carrer panel

Coming soon!

Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry (EWOC)

Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry (EWOC) was founded by a group of organic chemists and others who support women in science as an opportunity to recognize, identify and retain women in the field of organic chemistry, regardless of gender or any other protected characteristic. They have various chapters across the US and Canada, including EWOC EastCan.

For the third year in a row, QOMSBOC will be partnering with EWOC EastCan to deliver a Friday evening career panel! See below for details!

EWOC Panel

Everything You Want to Know About Life After Graduate Studies in Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry!

Organized in collaboration with Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry (EWOC) Eastern Canada Chapter, the panel will feature accomplished chemists from various fields: Rachelle Séguin, co-founder of OMY Laboratories, Marie Bérubé from Paraza Pharma, Amélie Dion from Merck, Claudia Carpentier from Linearis, Myriam Drouin from Agilent, Nadia Morissette from Sygnature Discovery, not to mention our keynote speaker Aleksandra Holownia from AbbVie. We are fortunate to have Roxanne Lessard from Paraza Pharma moderating the panel, which promises to be rich in exchange and discussion.

The panel will be held at CERCLE, on the 4th floor of the Desjardins Pavilion on the Université Laval campus on Friday, November 14, immediately following Dr. Holownia's plenary lecture scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
