QOMSBOC is an annual symposium organized by synthetic and bioorganic research chemists in Quebec and Ontario, Canada.  Hosted by a different academic institution each year, QOMSBOC offers a forum to showcase cutting-edge research done by graduate students, undergraduate, and postdoctoral researchers.  The primary objective of QOMSBOC is to inspire and help to train the next generation of outstanding young organic chemists.

Participation in QOMSBOC 2021 is free of charge.  To register please follow the "REGISTER FOR QOMSBOC" link and complete our brief online form.    Once you have done that, please expect to receive an email, approximately 10 days prior to the symposium, with instructions about how to use our virtual platform "MeetAnyway" to attend the event. 

Please register early.  All questions should be directed to: 

Abstract submission is now closed.

To submit an abstract please download the "Abstract Template" word document and modify it.  Change the filename to include your initials at the beginning, and send the file as an email attachment to as a single page word document.

In the text of your email please indicate whether you would prefer to give an oral presentation (20 minute talk) or a poster presentation. 


Note for poster presenters: Our "MeetAnyway" virtual meeting platform will enable you to upload a PDF file with a research poster analogous to what you would print and present at an in-person event.  In addition, you will have the option of supplementing your poster with text notes and/or a brief video presentation.

The abstract submission deadline is Friday, November 26, 2021.   Please expect to receive email confirmation of the receipt of your abstract within two days of submission.  In addition, you will receive an email with detailed technical instructions for poster uploads and oral presentations.
