EWOC EastCan Career Panel
Coming soon!
Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry (EWOC)

Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry (EWOC) was founded by a group of organic chemists and others who support women in science as an opportunity to recognize, identify and retain women in the field of organic chemistry, regardless of gender or any other protected characteristic. They have various chapters across the US and Canada, including EWOC EastCan.
For the fifth year in a row, QOMSBOC will be partnering with EWOC EastCan to deliver a Friday evening career panel! See below for details!
EWOC EastCan Panel
Everything You Want to Know About Life After Graduate Studies in Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry!
Organized in collaboration with Empowering Women in Organic Chemistry (EWOC) Eastern Canada Chapter, the panel will feature accomplished chemists from various fields: Mary P. Watson, Professor at University of Delaware and co-founder of EWOC, Amal Wahhab from the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), Augusto Hernandez from X-Chem, Hélène Lebel, Professor at Université de Montréal, Curtis Rieder from Gilead Sciences, Mika Guérard from Casp-Aid, and Patrick Kim Chiaw from Pfizer Canada. We are also fortunate to have Roxanne Lessard from Sygnature Discovery moderating the panel, which promises to be rich in exchange and discussion.
The panel will be held at UdeM - Campus MIL (Auditorium A-1502) on Friday, November 6, immediately following Dr. Curtis Rieder's plenary lecture scheduled for 6:10 p.m.
